A statement on privacy
Your portrait stays
with you.
Your Style Hue performs your color reading entirely within your own browser. At no point is your photograph uploaded, transmitted, copied to a server, or stored outside this device. The reading happens in the browser tab open in front of you, and ends with it.
The short version
What we do not collect.
- No photographs.
- No detected facial landmarks or color samples.
- No facial recognition or biometric data of any kind.
The exception
What we do collect.
To save your Style Passport, we ask for an email address. We use it only to send the occasional style note — color of the season, capsule ideas, things we think you will like. We will never share or sell it. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message we send.
Your email is the only personal information we hold directly. It is stored with the email provider listed in the link at the bottom of each message we send.
We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. That is collection too, so it belongs on this page: it records things like the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, and what you clicked next. It does not tell us who you are, and it never touches your photograph. There is more on it below.
Cookies and analytics
What gets stored, and why.
There is no advertising on this site. Your Style Hue is supported by small commissions from affiliate links, and by nothing else. Three kinds of cookies are involved, and neither one has anything to do with your photograph.
- Analytics cookies
- Google Analytics sets a cookie so it can tell a returning visitor from a new one, and count which pages get read. It is how we know whether anything here is useful. It records the page, roughly which country you are in, and what you clicked next — not who you are. If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics on every site you visit: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Pinterest cookies
- A lot of people find this site through Pinterest, so Pinterest sets a cookie that tells us which pins actually bring someone here and which ones only look busy. It records the page you landed on and what you did next — not who you are. You can turn this off in your own Pinterest account settings, under privacy and data.
- Affiliate cookies
- When you click a product link (for example, to Amazon), the retailer may set a cookie that credits Your Style Hue with a small commission if you buy something. This costs you nothing extra, and we only recommend pieces we would happily wear ourselves.
Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies outright in their privacy settings. Blocking them will not stop the color analysis from working — that runs on your device and does not use cookies at all.
What loads from where
Nothing third-party touches your photo.
Everything required to read your portrait is served from this same origin. The MediaPipe face-landmarking model and the WebAssembly runtime that powers it both live in the project folder, alongside the site itself — there is no third-party service inspecting your photo, and no image data is sent anywhere.
External resources used on the rest of the site are Google Fonts (for the Bodoni Moda and DM Sans typefaces), Google Analytics (for counting visits), and the affiliate retailers linked from the season pages. None of them is connected to your photograph in any way.
How to verify
Check it yourself.
Open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and complete a reading. You will see the page assets and the model file load — but no upload of any image data, ever.
