For an Accurate Reading

A few quick tips.

Your reading is only as good as the photo it reads from. A few small things make all the difference — the first one most of all.

Close in — head and shoulders
This is the one that matters most. The reading looks over the whole picture, so where you are standing in it does not matter — only how small your face ends up. Head and shoulders is the surest thing; a full-length shot is usually fine too, as long as the face is not tiny. If in doubt, crop in before you upload.
Even, natural daylight
Stand near a window in the morning or late afternoon. North-facing light is ideal. Avoid overhead spot bulbs, candle-warmth, or the orange cast of incandescent rooms.
Face the lens directly
Straight-on or a gentle three-quarter view. Tilt slightly toward the light source. No tilted-down "selfie" angles — they shadow the jawline and shift skin tone.
Hair off the face, eyes visible
The reading samples skin, hair, and eyes. Pull stray strands away from the forehead and cheeks so the system can find all three clearly.
Bare or near-bare face
A relaxed, neutral expression. No filters, no beauty modes, minimal makeup. Foundation and contour can mask your true undertone.

Worth avoiding

Beauty filters, AI retouching, or heavy photo editing
Warm indoor lighting (tungsten, candlelight, sodium-vapor)
Strong color casts from clothing, walls, or umbrellas
Colored contact lenses or tinted prescription frames
Sunglasses, hats, or hair that shadows the face
Recently applied self-tanner or a heavy summer tan
